The Care Experience Podcast explores the experiences of people who grew up in care systems all over the world. It is presented by members of the EPIC Youth Council and EPIC Advocate Peter Lane and is brought to you by EPIC, Empowering People in Care, a children's rights organisation that works with and advocates for children and young people in care and aftercare services, and young adults with care experience. The Podcast aims to raise awareness and fight stigma by giving a platform to people who know the most about the care system - those with the lived experience of it.

For International Women's Day 2022, the Care Experience Podcast brought together young care-experienced women from Ireland and New Zealand who discussed their experiences of growing up in the care system, discrimination, relationships, identity, recovery, value, and power.

In this woman-to-woman empowering and regenerative conversation, that spans oceans and continents, Colleen, Karah, Kathleen and Mary-Lynn offer up advice to their younger selves and to other care-experienced women and girls.

This episode was made in collaboration with EPIC, Empowering People in Care's sister organisation in New Zealand, VOYCE - Whakarongo Mai.
